NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- In an update to an exclusive story from earlier this month, video cameras inside a roller rink bathroom have been determined to be fake.

The story gained a lot of attention in early February when a local father notified authorities after finding video cameras inside the bathroom at Palace Roller Rink in North Fort Myers.  But as Four in Your Corner's Lisa Greenberg found, there was more than what meets the eye.

Joseph Miceli was alarmed when he saw what appeared to be video cameras pointed toward the urinals in the bathroom. So he called the sheriff's office.  The owner of the rink claimed to have had an explanation, and according to a new report, Lee County deputies agree.

The owner of the rink claimed the cameras were fake, to discourage kids from acting inappropriately in the bathrooms. The Lee County Sheriff's Office eventually sent out an audio-visual investigator to look into these claims, and investigators now say the cameras were indeed fake and that no laws were broken.

However, the owner of Palace Roller Rink reportedly does to plan to take down the fake cameras in light of the controversy.
