LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Cape Coral woman says she's traumatized after watching an FIU professor rape her on his home video.
69-year-old David Ralston worked on Florida's east coast but lived in South Fort Myers. That's where he's accused of drugging and raping a woman, and now evidence seems to be stacked against him.
The woman, who we're calling "Tammy", says she's been reliving her trauma since April 29th; the night she says Ralston drugged and raped her.
Tammy tells Fox 4, "I wake up with nightmares sometimes, hot sweats, bad dreams...most of them are 'get off from me', ‘get away from me’, ‘stay away from me’ and I’m in tears."
Tammy says she knew she had been drugged after Ralston gave her a mixed drink of vodka. Now the toxicology results are in and confirm she did have a powerful chemical cocktail.
Tammy says the drugs included, "Diazepam, Alprazolam, Tamazepine, and Alfa-Hydroxy Alprazolam."
She says she's prescribed Xanax, but not the other three drugs, one.of which included another form of Xanax.
She tested positive for Valium which is a Benzo-diazepam and reduces anxiety.
Tamazepine is a highly powerful Benzo sedative.
All 3 of these drugs can be deadly in high doses. In fact, actor Heath Ledger was found with the same chemical cocktail in his system when he died in 2008.
Tammy wonders where Ralston would have gotten these drugs.
Although he hasn't been convicted, this man has already lost his highly regarded reputation as a Florida International University professor, especially since he's facing charges of raping a woman who was incoherent.
Tammy claims Ralston, “completely removes my shorts and my underwear, straddles on top of me continues to fondle me."
Tammy says although she was essentially unconscious, she knows what Ralston did.
Investigators say his own surveillance cameras were rolling the whole time. Recently officials showed those recordings to Tammy. "He stands up, starts to pull his pants down, bends down and kisses me on the lips when I'm laying there basically dead and lifeless...then pulls his pants completely off, his underwear completely off. I was so lifeless that I couldn't fight him off of me."
Ralston now has a new attorney. The next hearing in this case is set for September 22nd.
