Posted

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators say a convenience store robbery Sunday night may be the work of a serial robber that has pulled similar crimes recently.

This latest robbery happened around 9:30pm Sunday at the 7-Eleven store on San Carlos Boulevard at the southern end of Pine Ridge Road.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, a tall black male entered the store, implying that he had a gun inside a paper bag that he was holding.  The suspect demanded cash from the register, then fled on foot southbound on San Carlos Boulevard.

He is described as 6’1”, with a thin build.

Detectives believe he may also be responsible for other recent robberies in the southern and western parts of Lee County.

Thursday night, a suspect with a similar description used the same paper bag technique at a 7-Eleven in Naples.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or through the P3 mobile app.
