FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Are you ready for a mega water slide with a view this September?  A new event will give you an opportunity to slide down the Edison Bridge on a tube.

"Slide the City" is a series of events scheduled around the country that combine a street party with a mega-slip-n-slide.  And September 17th, the event hits Fort Myers.

Participants can purchase tickets online and book a 3-hour time block that provides access to the 900-foot padded slide to be set up on the southbound side of the Edison Bridge.  Early bird tickets start at $25, but escalate to $55 on the day of the event.

There will also be music, food, and drinks available.

Sliders must be at least 5 years old and over 46 inches tall, and are suggest to bring their own sunscreen, swimsuit, and shoes.
