911 call released in Golden Gate Estates homicide

Posted

The Collier County Sheriff's Office has released 911 audio in the homicide of Larimar Webbe, 21. Webbe's body was found Sunday morning in the driveway of a home in the 3300 block of Golden Gate Boulevard. The property sits between Big Cypress Elementary School and Cypress Woods Presbyterian Church.

"There's a man on our driveway laying down," a man living at the home told a 911 dispatcher, apparently thinking it was someone sleeping off a night of drinking.

"Is he hurt?" the dispatcher asked.

"I don't know, I'm not going over there," was the response.

Deputies arrived minutes later to find that Webbe was deceased. It's unclear how he wound up on the fenced and gated property.

"They took the extra precaution to make sure their home is secure and safe, so it's very confusing," said Becca Fenn, who often takes her 16-month-old son to nearby Max Hasse Park.

"It just makes you wonder," Fenn said. "Did somebody do it and just leave the body, and are they still around here in the area?"

A spokeswoman for the Collier County Sheriff's Office said investigators do not believe the homicide was random, and do not consider the public to be in danger.

No arrests in the case have yet been made.
