LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- A new grocery store is heading to Lehigh Acres. Popular discount grocery chain Aldi just broke ground along Lee Boulevard.
The site is located at Hanna Avenue, which is a few blocks east of Sunshine Boulevard, where the old First Christian Church used to be.
Aldi already has 90 locations in Florida, including one in Port Charlotte.
The chain is known for displaying products in cardboard packaging, charging for bags, and requiring customers to bag their own groceries.
