NORTH PORT, Fla. -- Three North Carolina men behind bars in North Port after they were allegedly found with cookies and gummy bears infused with marijuana.

23-year-old Alfonso Aldape, 27-year-old Brandon Leroy, and 25-year-old Joshua Roach each are charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell.

Police say they pulled them over for a traffic violation, and after searching the car they reportedly found gummies and cookies that tested positive for THC.  They also found bags of weed and more than $3,500 in cash.

Meanwhile, an Englewood man is facing charges after Charlotte County deputies allegedly caught him with a duffle bag full of marijuana gummy worms last week.

Deputies reportedly pulled over  25-year-old Derrick Sadtler of Indian Rocks Beach for a seat-belt violation on South McCall Road. And just like the case in North Port, an eventual search turned up nearly 30 bags of candy infused with THC.

Sadtler was also charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription (2 Cts), Possession of Marijuana (less than 20 grams) and Possession or Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
