LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- The search is on for two men who pretended to be police and violently attacked a woman in Lehigh Acres.

Detectives say it happened around 7 a.m. on Tuesday at a home on Gardner Avenue.

The victims says two men started started banging on her door and yelling "police."  Moments later, the masked men reportedly rushed into the home, pushed the woman onto a bed, and tied her hands and ankles with zip-ties.

"When Lucy the lady who lives there came over to our house, after she got untied, she was tied with plastic," said Raymond Burgess, who lives next door.

One of the men then threatened her with a knife while the other ransacked the home, stealing a gun, jewelry, and other items.

Both men are Hispanic and spoke Spanish, in which is believed to possibly be a Cuban dialect.

"Lot of gall do something like that, you know, I don't know if they knew them or somebody knew something," said John Tarrow, who lives across the street from the crime scene.
