HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. -- We're awaiting an autopsy report that should shed new light on a mysterious homicide in Hendry County. It's expected to be released within the next few days.
Deputies and state agents have been investigating since the body found was found Thursday in a desolate area off Wheeler Road and 14th Place, just east of Lehigh Acres.
Although authorities haven't confirmed who the victim is, family members of 50-year-old Alberta Harris believe the body is hers. She was last seen on April 11th, and two days later her car was found along Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, bloodied with a broken window.
