Backpack burglar sought in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are hoping that surveillance images will help identify a man they believe committed several burglaries in a Cape Coral neighborhood.

According to Cape Coral Police, there have been five burglaries -- 4 unlocked cars broken into, and a construction site tool theft -- in the area around Del Prado Boulevard and SE 40th Street.

Officers were able to locate surveillance footage of the suspect and they hope you can help identify him.

Besed on the surveillance footage, police say he appears to be a white male, wearing a baseball cap, knee-length shorts, and Nike tennis shoes; he was also wearing a backpack.
