LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A bicyclist is dead after an early morning crash.
According the the Florida Highway Patrol a bicyclist was riding along Palm Beach Boulevard near the Interstate 75 off ramps when a car hit him around 1:30 Friday morning.
The driver had just exited I-75 northbound and was attempting a right turn onto Palm Beach Boulevard on a green light when the bicyclist crossed in front of her.
The bicyclist died after being taken to the hospital.
Troopers say the bicyclist had on dark clothing and no reflectors.
The crash shut down portions of Palm Beach Boulevard for a few hours. All lanes are now back open.
The driver is not expected to face any charges.
