While Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have returned to the campaign trail after a contentious second debate, it's former president Bill Clinton who will be making a surprise stop in Fort Myers on Tuesday.

He will be at the Riverside Community Center on E. Riverside Drive in Fort Myers at 3:45pm.  Doors open at 2:45pm.

The announcement that President Clinton would be in town on behalf of his wife came mid-day Monday.  And this won't be the only campaign stop in the Sunshine State for Bill on Tuesday.  The Clinton campaign says the former president will also be at voter registration events in Belle Glade and Safety Harbor.

This comes one day after a federal court has extended Florida's voter registration deadline until 5pm Wednesday, due to Hurricane Matthew's interruption of last-minute sign-ups.

President Clinton's former vice president, Al Gore, will be campaigning with Hillary Tuesday in Miami.

Meanwhile Republican Nominee Donald Trump also has numerous events scheduled in Florida this week, including stops in Panama City, Ocala, Lakeland, and West Palm Beach.
