LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The man accused of holding up a Lehigh Acres bridal store last week is now behind bars.

Maria’s Bridal Shop on Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres was robbed at knifepoint last Thursday, with the incident being caught on surveillance cameras.

Now an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip has led to an arrest.

Late Monday night, detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s Robbery Unit arrested 35-year-old Dayton Long on one count of armed robbery.

Deputies say Long is no stranger to a life of crime, with a lengthy rap sheet filled with arrests for burglaries, dealing in stolen property, fraud and the illegal use of credit cards.  For those crimes, Long spent two years in state prison, having been released in March 2015.

He is currently being held without bond in the Lee County Jail.
