LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- A school bus crash in Lehigh Acres Tuesday morning left one student with minor injuries.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the collision happened on Bell Boulevard at the intersection with Meadow Road, just of State Road 82 just after 7am Tuesday.
Troopers say the school bus was westbound on Meadow Road and stopped at the intersection's stop sign when the driver pulled out into the path of a concrete truck on Bell Boulevard. The front of the bus hit the truck's right side.
Of the nine students on the bus at the time, one 18-year-old student suffered minor injuries.
The bus driver, 49-year-old Mayra Guanches, was treated for minor injuries at Lehigh Regional Medical Center. She was also charged for violation of right of way.
There were no other reported injuries.
