LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A new development in a deadly hit and run in Cape Coral that killed an elderly man last October.

56-year-old Gerald Gray has accepted a plea deal and will now spend the next four years in prison.

Police say he ran over 83-year-old Donnell Strum at the RaceTrac on Del Prado Boulevard in October 2015, and then took off, sparking a 24-hour manhunt.

Once Gray is released, he'll also serve three years of probation and his license will be suspended for life.
