Boy George and his mates from Culture Club will not be taking the stage in Cape Coral this weekend, much to the dismay of 80's music fans in Southwest Florida.
Culture Club was one of several 80's and 90's headliners scheduled to play a Unity Fest concert at Sun Splash in Cape Coral Friday and Saturday.
Cape Coral Unity Fest was billed as a new festival promoting peace, love and unity within the community. In addition to Culture Club featuring Boy George, the lineup for the concert featured C&C Music Factory, Maxi Priest, Book of Love, Animotion and Sowflo.
Ragemore Events announced the cancellation on its Facebook page saying, "the buyer we purchased this package from breached his contract to Culture Club, myself and the agent. The agent is cancelling all of his shows in Miami, New Orleans and ours."
Ragen St. Peter of Ragemore Events promised refunds for anyone who purchased tickets.
