A group of young people in Fort Myers are accused of robbing a pizza delivery man at gunpoint while wearing clown masks.

Dallas Little, 19, Alonzo Little, 19, Elizabeth Blanc, 18, Javonta Hart, 18, and Vidieu Tanis, 21, were arrested and charged with Robbery with a weapon.

It all started when a family living on Market Street ordered a pizza. People were still out celebrating Halloween when the Papa John's delivery man was robbed at gunpoint. The robbers were wearing clown and ghost masks.

"Any other night, they would have been spotted quickly, so they picked Halloween, because everybody else is going to be in masks and running around," Tiffany, who lives near where the robbery happened, said.

Just minutes after teh driver handed over his money and called 911, police caught up with the suspects and arrested them.

Two days earlier, on the same street, police arrested three men who shot up two homes before leading police on a high speed chase.

"It breaks my heart to see my neighborhood going down like this," Tiffany said.

She said this type of crime is becoming more common where she lives, and added the creepy clown crime craze, she was too worried to let her eight-year-old son trick-or-treat this year.

"It's sad because my son's birthday is on Halloween, and he couldn't even go out and enjoy his birthday because I'm hearing about these boys in clown masks are going to be randomly shooting at people or robbing people," Tiffany said.

She said stopping the violence is going to require more help from her community.

"I pray for my city. My neighborhood. I really do. I don't want to see any more kids' pictures on t-shirts, and mothers crying because they've lost their child," she said.

She suggested the city of Fort Myers should implement a curfew.

The Fort Myers Police Department is holding a press conference on November 2nd about what they're doing to curb gun violence and seize firearms.
