BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Construction crews breaking ground on Bonita Springs High School today.

The Lee County School District unveiling a new logo, school colors and mascot (The Bull Shark). Their colors, blue and green, reflect the schools partnership with FGCU. The school will take part in a new program with the university that will allow students to earn their Associates Degree while still in high school.

The school district has set aside $50 Million dollars to build the school, but it says it's nearly $15 Million over budget due to building costs, construction inflation and labor shortage. To cut costs the district has decided to alter the school's design and reduce it's size by 400 students
