FORT MYERS — Cypress Lake High School student Carsyn Davis has died due to complications from the coronavirus. The announcement came yesterday during the Lee County School Board meeting, where board members shared the sad news and sent condolences to the family.

The news was originally posted on the Cypress Lake High School Orchestra's Facebook page, saying in part "Orchestra family, one of our vocal students, Carsyn Davis, passed away this afternoon due to complications from COVID-19. We are heartbroken for the loss of a young lady who brought so much light into the world. Please feel free to share your thoughts and memories so we can honor the joy and kindness that she brought to our school each and every day."

There is also a gofundme page set up for the family.
