ESTERO, Fla. — Florida Gulf Coast University says an employee in the Bower School of Music & the Arts has tested positive for COVID-19.

That person is isolated in accordance with the CDC.

The university says that the employee was last on the FGCU campus on March 20th.

In a memo, FGCU noted the following:

"Since this was 21 days ago -well beyond the 14-day incubation period for COVID-19 - anyone who was exposed to the employee would have shown symptoms of the illness by now."
