COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A concerned father contacted the Collier County Sheriff's Office Monday after someone in a black vehicle offered his daughter a ride home when she got off the school bus in Naples Park.

The father claims this has happened several times, the most recent on Feb. 18. He says each time his daughter yells, “no” and runs home.

The girl’s father told detectives that she saw the same black vehicle when she got off the bus Monday, Feb. 22. The vehicle was traveling slowly up and down the road. The girl called her mother who advised her to walk up a driveway if the vehicle came near. The driver did not say anything to her Monday.

The girl told detectives that she did not see the driver during the encounters but based on the driver’s voice she believes it was a woman. The girl was not able to provide additional details about the vehicle except that it has tinted windows.

Detectives continue to investigate and enhanced patrols are being conducted in the Naples Park area.
