NAPLES, Fla. — This week, NCH will receive a limited allocation of approximately 170 doses along with a list of individuals supplied by DOH to continue vaccinations of this population who meet the Governor’s Executive Order. Additionally, NCH will receive 500 doses of vaccine from the state. Both Moderna vaccine allocations are earmarked only for those under the age of 65 who are extremely vulnerable, with DOH and NCH identifying those who qualify.

NCH will reach out to individuals to offer an appointment. Patients should not call their doctors to inquire about being added to the list because this slows the process of reaching out to those who have been identified.

NCH began working with the Collier County Department of Health (DOH) at the beginning of February to vaccinate persons under the age of 65 who are extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 as outlined by the Governor’s Executive Order. At that time, Collier DOH supplied NCH with 100 doses along with a list of individuals they determined to be within the group of extremely vulnerable. NCH reached out to those on the DOH's list to offer the vaccine, but not all accepted an appointment. NCH filled the gaps with several of patients that were determined fit this extremely vulnerable group.

NCH will continue to update the community on the vaccine as information becomes available.
