NAPLES, Fla. — NCH began vaccinating persons under the age of 65 who are extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 as outlined by the Governor’s Executive Order at the beginning of February.

NCH says they are expecting to receive another limited number of vaccines from Collier DOH.

There will be approximately 170 doses along with a list of individuals supplied by DOH to continue vaccinations of this population who meet the Governor’s Executive Order.

Additionally, NCH was also informed that they would receive 500 doses of vaccine this week from the state.

Both Moderna vaccine allocations are earmarked only for those under the age of 65 who are extremely vulnerable, with DOH and NCH identifying those who qualify. NCH will be reaching out to individuals to offer them an appointment.

Patients should not call their doctors to inquire about being added to the list because this slows the process of reaching out to those who have been identified.
