CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Today marked an Easter like no other, but one mental health coach in Cape Coral says, she's determined to bring a little Easter joy to the community.
“So these eggs will be placed into people’s yards and the eggs have been disinfected, so there is no risk there. We’re just going to toss them into random people’s yards throughout Cape Coral”, said Jamie Sterling.
Easter also happens to fall during Child Abuse Prevention Month.
“So that’s why all of the eggs are blue, and so inside of them there are stickers to honor this cause and this mission”, said Sterling.
In order to help with the hard financial times, one lucky family will receive 500 dollars.
“I knew in my heart that would help somebody, and my whole life mission is to provide help and support and love to people”, said Sterling.
Wanting to spread joy while still being safe, she made sure to sanitize the eggs.
“I don’t want the fear of that to take away the beauty and the fun because all those safety perimeters have been considered. So let’s just let it bring the joy that I hope it will. I know for sure that this is going to bring fun and joy for every single person, and that’s what really makes me happy”, said Sterling.
