SANIBEL, Fla. — In response to the continually increasing number of coronavirus cases, the City of Sanibel has extended its State of Emergency order until Nov. 17.

The order calls for mandatory face coverings in public spaces, and will have to be updated weekly as law only permits the order to be in effect for 7 days.

Sanibel has reported 68 cases of COVID-19 since March.
