One company is examining how each state is fighting COVID-19 and ranking each state in their response.

WalletHub is compiling the data.

They ranked all 50 states, plus Washington, D.C., across 43 different metrics.

Overall, they say Florida is below average, coming in 36th.

There were some bright spots: Florida ranked first when it came to preventing deaths from the flu and from pneumonia.

However, several factors brought Florida down, including the number of people who are uninsured (47th), Total Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Funding Per Capita (46th), and State and Local Public Health Laboratories per Capita (51st).

Full data, and how each metric is weighed is on WalletHub’s website.
