FORT MYERS, Fla - The beer wasn't the only thing flowing Saturday afternoon at Centennial Park in downtown Ft. Myers. The music was also pouring out into the long lines of people waiting to purchase their tickets.

The patrons looking forward to sample two different kinds of arts and crafts during the Taps and Tunes Festival.

"I hope for people to understand the actual art of craft beer because that's what's really cool about craft beer. You know the art in it. Everything's different," said Bill Mattingly.

With over eighty craft beer options at their fingertips there was a whole lot of art to appreciate. A selling point for many festival goers.

"So many good ones. I mean we like to support the local breweries," said Adolfo Diaz, a craft beer fan from Cape Coral.

Bill Mattingly and the Ft. Myers Art Committee knew this was the note they had to hit helping foster the growing craft beer culture.

"Craft breweries are getting so big here in this area. So that was the whole idea. We want to get them in one place and with the help of Sun Coast Beverage bought them from all over florida," said Bill Mattingly, one of the event committee planners.

A great opportunity for Jose Herrera to savor almost as much as the patrons seemed to like his beer.

"It's great because the community gets to try our beer and say 'oh i've never heard of you guys' and even better is 'where's islamorda? Where's islamorda?' So we are promoting our city as well. Our little island, our little rock in the Florida Keys," said Jose Herrera of Islamorada Beer Company.

Johnny Swim headlined today's performers but the Los Angeles duo shared the spotlight with a couple of Local Bands including Sheena Brook and 'For a Season'.
