Cape Coral Police are investigating a crash causing serious damage at the drive-thru of a McDonald's.
The crash happened early Saturday morning at the restaurant on the corner of Pine Island Road and Santa Barbara Boulevard.
Police say Michael Cook plowed through the drive thru while drunk. Cook was driving the wrong way when he crashed straight into the menu board. Witnesses said he was speeding and swerving down Hancock Bridge Parkway just before the crash.
Part of the drive-thru is still taped off, but is open for customers.
He's facing several charges, including DUI property damage.
