LEE COUNTY, Fla. - One person is dead after an early Tuesday morning crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol says only one car was involved in the crash that happened shortly before 2 a.m.
Troopers say 28-year-old Matthew Harris of Hollywood, Florida was driving south on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway near FGCU Boulevard when troopers say he veered into the median and hit a tree.
All lanes of traffic have since reopened on Griffin Parkway.
The crash is not considered alcohol-related, and Harris was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers are still working on an exact cause of the crash.
