Lee County deputies are in search of a driver who hit a man and left the scene.
The crash occurred on Sunday at 2:36am on Whiskey Creek Drive near Reynard Drive.
The pedestrian, Eric Salter, was walking with a friend when an unknown black sedan crossed over the fog line and struck Salter, knocking him into the air.
The car fled the scene without leaving any information or rendering aid. It was last seen fleeing the scene north bound on Whisky Creek Drive towards McGregor Blvd.
Salter was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
