CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Port Charlotte man was arrested Sunday after reportedly kidnapping his girlfriend during a dispute.
24-years-old Thomas Frankenberger, IV has been charged with one count of Kidnapping, one count of Aggravated Battery, and one count of Battery.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 22000 block of Laramore Avenue in Port Charlotte in the early morning hours Sunday after a report of a domestic disturbance.
A witness at the scene told deputies that Frankenberger forcibly left the residence with his girlfriend. The two were later located in Sarasota County.
Frankenberger was taken into custody by Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies, while the victim was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released.
