SOUTHWEST, Fla. — Republican Heather Fitzenhagen fell short to Republican Ray Rodrigues in Tuesday's election.
Ray Rodrigues secured 75% of votes compared to Fitzenhagen's 25%.
Fitzenhagen released a statement Tuesday evening on Facebook saying in part:
"We must keep pressing on for what matters most in Florida - clean water, good jobs, and bringing integrity back to Florida politics."

She is currently a member of the Florida House of Representatives representing the 78th District.
