Lee County Deputies arrested three people at a hookah lounge in Estero early Sunday morning.

Deputies were called to Layla's Hookah lounge around 3:00 Sunday morning, they found cocaine, marijuana, and syringes inside the club.

Duwayne Edison was charged with possession of cocaine.  Jacqualyn Cobb was also charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana.  Deputies say she nearly plowed her car into a crowd of people outside the lounge.

Shwaby Cherisol was arrested for trying to prevent fire marshals from entering the building.

Once inside, they found the business was using burners, and the lounge was over capacity by almost 100 people.

"It's surprising that kind of behavior, that criminal behavior is going on," said John Roth, a pastor at Thrive Community Church which is near the lounge.

Fox 4 discovered Lee deputies have been called out to Layla's 15 times since July. Caesar Pioquinto manages Cancun Bar and Grill, he says Layla's has been anything but neighborly.

"We've had incidents where we've found bullet cases outside the door, and it's been explained from prior calls that it's from the business next door."

No one answered the door at Layla's Friday night.  The property manager at Estero Ridge Plaza says she is trying to evict the lounge.
