LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying an unknown black male who robbed a North Fort Myers Family Dollar store last Saturday night.

According to Crime Stoppers, just after 10 PM Saturday, two store employees were counting the register tills and the deposit for the night at the Family Dollar, located at 50 Pine Island Road.  As they were finishing, a black male approached the women from behind and demanded they give him all the money from the safe.

In fear for her life, one of the employees grabbed a store bag and placed the cash inside.  After handing over the bag, the suspect told the two employees to get on the ground and count to 100.  He then ran through the store, activating a door alarm at the rear of the store, headed in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.  Anyone with information on the identity of the robber is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
