LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- Family members are identifying the man they say was killed inside a Lehigh Acres home, and deputies are now officially investigating the incident as a homicide.
Family and deputies say 23-year-old Ja'Marcus Taylor -- also known as Jam -- was found dead Monday afternoon, inside his home on Golfview Boulevard, near Douglas Lane.
Family members claim Taylor was shot and killed, but nearly 24 hours later, Lee County deputies were remaining very tight-lipped about the investigation.
Tuesday afternoon they confirmed the case is a homicide. They say the incident appears to be contained and the community is not in danger.
