Fiddlesticks bike and walking path project begins

Posted

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Bike and walk paths are in store for one South Fort Myers community.

Next week, work is expected to start along Fiddlesticks Boulevard on a project to add an eight-foot-wide path. It'll sit on the west side of the road starting at Daniels Parkway, and run about a mile south to the entrance of Fiddlesticks Country Club.

The project, which was approved by the county in June, will start August 12th.  It's expected to be completed before the end of the year.

The goal is to make this area safer for cyclists and pedestrians.
