Fort Myers restaurant robbed by armed man

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police are searching for a man they say used a gun to rob a Popeye's restaurant Tuesday evening.

It happened at 7:30 pm at the restaurant located on Fowler Street, south of Hanson Street.

According to Fort Myers Police, the suspect entered the store, ordered three customers to the ground, and demanded money from the clerk.  He fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money, headed northwest across the parking lot.

The suspect is described as  5’07" to 5’09", medium built, wearing a gray hooded jacket, dark colored pants, mask and gloves.
