FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Surveillance video shows a suspect making quick work at a Fort Myers auto repair business, getting in and out in less than a minute.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the suspect broke into Rick Johnson Auto and Tire, located at 5785 Bayshore Road, around 1:26 a.m. on Monday, September 5th.

Moments later, a heavy build white male, covering up his face with a t-shirt, could be seen making a beeline to the store’s cash register, prying it open and removing all cash.  In less than a minute’s time, he exited the store through the front door, which triggered an audible alarm.

The suspect, however, managed to leave the area before deputies arrived approximately one minute after the alarm sounded.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com.
