CAPE CORAL, Fla. — September is prostate cancer awareness month.
The prostate cancer foundation says 30-percent of cancers are preventable through lifestyle changes, including eating better. Each day on Fox 4, we'll profile a superfood you can incorporate into your diet. The challenge is called the "Eat It To Beat It."
Today's superfood is broccoli.
Broccoli is rich in glucoraphanin, which the body converts into isothiocyanates. Isothiocyanates have been shown to help rid the body of cancer-causing toxins.

You can toss some broccoli in olive oil, along with minced garlic and freshly grated parmesan. Then place them into a preheated 425 degree oven for 12 minutes.
