An Immokalee man was arrested in connection to a semi-truck that had been reported stolen, said the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to 613 West Main Street after reports of a stolen vehicle which had been involved in a crash.
When they arrived, 19-year-old Alfredo Perez was located in the driver seat with the radio microphone in his hand yelling, "all will be forgiven under God," CCSO said.
Deputies later broke the passenger with a hammer and sprayed Perez with pepper spray which appeared to have little effect. They then broke the driver side door and was able to extricate Perez from the truck.
Once out of the vehicle Perez was placed in handcuffs. He then lost consciousness from the residual exposure from the pepper spray and was taken to Physician's Regional Hospital for treatment.
Once released he was transported to the Naples Jail Center facing Grand Theft and Resisting Law Enforcement charges.
