Injured eaglet moved to outdoor enclosure

SANIBEL, Fla. -- Good news in the recovery of injured bald eagle E8, one of the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam's famed eaglets.

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife announced Thursday morning that vets have now moved E8 to a small flight enclosure outside.

That's a big step in the recovery process, which will help ease the stress on the bird and allow it to strengthen its legs after recent surgery.

E8 initially went missing on May 7th after the eagle cam showed the bird being attacked by an owl. He was found days later with a broken leg in North Fort Myers.
