Over 100 grams of marijuana and cocaine were seized from a Lehigh Acres home following a month-long investigation, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).

Detectives arrested 22-year-old Alexander McDowell on multiple charges, including sale and possession of marijuana.

According to LCSO, 144.6 grams of marijuana was found in the home, along with 26.2 grams of powder cocaine, drug paraphernalia and two firearms.

A resident of the home told Fox 4 news McDowell was renting a room at the house along West Jasmine Road. He did not answer when asked if anyone in the home knew if McDonnell may have been selling drugs.

A neighbor who says she saw multiple squad cars parked outside the home was surprised to learn what detectives discovered.

"Oh yea, that's a lot of stuff," said Kristi Bradshaw.

She says prior to seeing the squad cars outside of the home she heard what she thought was a gunshot.

"A loud bang, like a car backfiring or boom! it was definitely a boom," said Bradshaw. "It's a little scary that this is going on here," she added.

McDowell posted bond Friday and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
