Lehigh hotel robbed at gunpoint overnight

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- A search is on for two unknown men who robbed a Lehigh Acres hotel at gunpoint Tuesday night.

According to Southwest Florida Crimes Stoppers, just before 10:30 p.m., two males described as "dark-skinned" walked into the Microtel on Business Way near Beth Stacey Boulevard in Lehigh. 

Both men were armed with handguns and demanded cash from the register.  One of the suspects jumped the counter, removed an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as the employee’s purse, then both men fled on foot. 

One suspect is described as being in his late 20s, with his face covered by a bandana with white markings on it.  The second suspect has a heavier build, and had a dark cloth covering most of his face.
