LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- You have a little over a week left to register for the Florida Python Challenge 2020 Python Bowl.
The challenge, put on by Florida Fish and Wildlife, has competitors remove Burmese pythons from the local Florida ecosystems.
People can register as a rookie or pro.
For both categories, there will be prizes awarded for the most and longest pythons. Additional awards will be provided for veterans and members of our armed services.
Registration costs $25, and participants will have to pass a free online training module. Competitors can work together as teams, but must turn in pythons under one person's name.
The challenge kicks off on January 10th.
