3 arrested for racing on 41 played "Bad Boys" theme for deputies

NAPLES, Fla. — Three men were arrested for illegally racing on U.S. 41 North late Wednesday night, including a driver who played the “Bad Boys” theme for deputies.

According to Collier County reports, around 11:15 p.m. deputies were finishing up a call when they saw a red Ford Mustang and a silver Infinity slow-roll by, heading north on 41.

The front-seat passenger of the Mustang, Aguilar Hernandez, leaned out the window and yelled, “20 roll on 3!" Deputies recognized this as a signal to start racing at 20 mph. Hernandez then counted aloud, “1, 2, 3.”

Deputies started driving down 41 North behind the two cars until they came to a stop at a red light on Pine Ridge Road. Once the light turned green both sped off, the Mustang spinning its tires.

Deputies clocked them at speeds 80 to 95 mph. on the 55 mph roadway and pulled them over.

As deputies went to run Llera Iturralde's license, he exclaimed,“What.” and blasted “Bad Boys” the Cops TV show theme.

Oscar Manuel Llera Iturralde, 19, of 271 Forest Hills Blvd. in East Naples, and Jose Luis Ramirez-Sanchez, 20, of 4413 17th Place S.W. in Golden Gate are each charged with racing on a public highway.

Arlington Joel Aguilar Hernandez, 20, of 1207 Granada Blvd. in North Naples, is charged with riding as a passenger in a race competition and coordinating a race between the vehicles, arrest reports said.
