The 39th annual Turkey Trot 5k kicks off Thanksgiving morning at 6, outside the Wellness Center of Cape Coral.
Proceeds from this event benefit two Lee County programs that promote healthy living and awareness. Additional proceeds will go to the Fort Myers Track Club's youth and scholarship programs.
The event today includes a 5K walk or run, a one mile fun run and a tot trot. For the full schedule or registration information, click here.
Winners of each of the races will receive a pumpkin pie. There will also be three winners selected for the best turkey or Thanksgiving themed costumes.
