LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Supreme Court has denied the latest appeal of a man convicted of killing a Riverdale High music teacher in 1996.

According to the State Attorney's Office, Kevin Foster remains on Death Row at Union Correctional Institute in Raiford, Florida.

Foster was the ringleader of the “Lords of Chaos”, a self-proclaimed militia group in the Fort Myers community.

In 1996, Foster and three others planned the murder of Mark Schwebes in his home after he caught them preparing to vandalize the school.  Foster shot Schwebes twice as he answered the door, once in the face and once in the pelvis.

Two others were sentenced to life in prison, while a third man was sentenced to 32 years in prison.
