LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- We're getting new information about an armed robbery early Friday morning at a Lehigh Acres Walgreens store.
The Fox 4 Breaking News Tracker was at the scene around 1:30 a.m. at the Homestead Road and Alabama Road location.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, two armed black males entered the store and demanded cash.
The employees complied and the men fled with cash and cigarettes.
There have been several overnight armed robberies this week. Early Wednesday morning, two gas stations were robbed in Lehigh and North Fort Myers. Then Wednesday night, there was an attempted robbery at a Lehigh Acres 7-Eleven store.
Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the suspects are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
