Armed robbery reported at Fort Myers convenience store Thursday morning

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Deputies are searching for a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven store early Thursday morning.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. at the store on Convenience Way, just off the intersection of Summerlin Road and Gladiolus Drive.

The suspect was reportedly armed and demanded cash from an employee. They left with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, who was wearing a black hoodie and tan pants.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). This robbery comes just one day after somebody pulled two armed robberies at convenience stores in Charlotte County; one in Punta Gorda, and one in Port Charlotte.
