LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a suspect who robbed a South Fort Myers store early Sunday morning.
Deputies say the suspect walked into the 7-Eleven in 11700 South Cleveland Avenue armed with a metal pipe. Officials say the man demanded all the cash in the register and struck the clerk. Deputies say the clerk came around the counter and chased the suspect out of the store.
Investigators say he left without any money. Deputies desribe the suspect as a Hispanic male between 5'5" and 5'7", with a husky build and a tattoo on the side of his neck.
